Jo Ramos is legendary technologist with several years of experience on the data warehousing, analytics and in the past years he has expanded his knowledge on emerging Big Data technologies.
Jo started his career on information management technology in Brazil in 1984. He worked for two local companies in south Brazil as an application developer and technical lead for implementation and deployment of large enterprise information systems. Jo joined IBM Brazil in 1998 on the information management organization and he led the technical sales activities and implementation of large data warehouses and analytics solutions for financial services and telecommunications.
In 2001, Jo relocated to United States and Joined IBM USA as a subject matter expert on the Data Warehousing and Analytics space. He led complex engagements including large scale benchmarks, proof-of-concepts, and first-of-a-kind deployments. Currently, Jo is the lead architect for big data and analytics on a pre-sales role. He serves as trusted advisor to customer’s executive and technical teams by providing guidance on modernization of data warehousing and analytics systems, and helping them to define strategy and road-maps for successful Big Data and Analytics implementations.
